About Portico
We build casework software for the people who answer to constituents.
Why we built Portico
Elected representatives — MPs, councillors from parish to unitary, mayors and members of the devolved parliaments — carry hundreds of live cases at once, from housing and benefits to planning and antisocial behaviour, across email, spreadsheets and memory. Some run offices of a dozen staff; many work entirely on their own. Generic CRMs don't understand casework, and public-sector IT teams are rightly wary of tools that ask for sweeping access to their systems.
Portico answers both: a casework system that fits how representatives actually work — solo or as a team — built from the ground up to clear the security and Information Governance bar that public-sector procurement sets.
